QLD Civil Solutions is a trusted provider of transmission lines and towers construction services, specialising in high voltage transmission lines, transmission towers, and steel lattice towers. Our expertise extends to the construction of transmission structures, installation of transmission cables, and the implementation of complex projects.    Site preparation

   We clear the tower construction location of plants, trees and other obstacles to leave an even terrain. In some places, access roads to the site may need to be constructed.

2. 02

   Foundation construction and piling

   The foundation of the tower is constructed by auguring holes with our drill rigs. After the holes are excavated and the steel reinforcement is inserted, concrete is poured into the foundation, after which construction of the structure can begin.

3. 03

   Structure construction

   Using our selection of cranes, from truck-mounted cranes to 150 tonne cranes, the structure of the tower is assembled in sections. Each section is then bolted together.

4. 04

   Wire-stringing

   The primary conductors of the transmission line structure are attached to the tower, including installation of the conductor, the ground wire, insulator, stringing sheaves, vibration dampers and more. We string the pilot line, pull the cable and sag the conductors to ensure safe tension, perform splicing and clipping of dead-end tower to tangent towers, and install guard poles and guard structures for safety.
